The term 'plain vanilla' certainly does not apply to the vanilla bean. After using real vanilla beans, it is easy to understand how this spice has become the cornerstone of pastry and baking. Vanilla beans are the most costly form of vanilla flavouring, but are without question the best.

Our Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans are rich in natural vanillin and carry the classic vanilla flavour.  These beans have a smooth, rich, sweet flavor and are the thinnest of the vanilla beans grown.  We are proud to carry the highest quality Madagascar vanilla beans available.

Our Bourbon vanilla beans are grown on the island of Madagascar. These beans are smooth, rich and sweet. Bourbon beans are highly prized by professional pastry chefs and bakers.

Delicious aroma August 5, 2009

Thank you for the speedy delivery on my order.  As soon as I opened the outer envelope, I could smell the delicious aroma.  Rushed right out to buy vodka and now have few jars of vanilla extract in the making.  Can't wait!

Madagascar Vanilla Beans February 2, 2009

I bought 1/2 lb of the Madagascar Vanilla Beans and I am so happy with my purchase.

The beans have a strong scent to them and when you add them to your baking, WOW what flavour.  I LOVE vanilla to begin with and to have that flavour throughout the batter is incredible.
I will continue to purchase my vanilla beans from The Vanilla Food Company.  Only next time I will buy 1 pound as I use a pod for each recipe I make, and I do alot of baking.

I will be making my sister and my mom some homemade vanilla extract for Christmas this year.  Can't compare to the store bought vanilla.
I am so happy I can purchase these wonderful Vanilla Beans in Canada.
