Ground allspice is a popular baking spice and used in many baked goods including cakes, cookies, pies and puddings.  Try sprinkling some onto sweet hot drinks such as hot apple cider and eggnog to add flavour. Amazing flavour and aroma for your apple pies.  Also a great addition to cakes, muffins and breads.  Or add to your pancake and waffle batter for extra flavour. Ceylon or ‘True’ cinnamon is harvested from trees indigenous to Sri Lanka.  With a lower oil content, this cinnamon carries a sweet, delicate, complex flavour with hints of citrus. Saigon Cinnamon contains the highest oil content of all cinnamons and carries a stronger, spicier kick than Korintje Cinnamon.  Upon first taste, you may be surprised by the strength of this cinnamon.  It has become extremely popular - especially among those who love their cinnamon!  In cinnamon-centric recipes, Saigon Cinnamon really comes through in taste, flavour and aroma.

A selection of our top selling ground cinnamons.  A great option to sample the various types of cinnamon available.  The Cinnamon-licious sample pak includes:
- 340 g (0.75 lb) Ceylon Cinnamon (ground)
- 453 g (1 lb) Saigon Cinnamon (ground)
- 453 g (1 lb) Korintje Cinnamon (ground)

With its sweet, pungent flavour, Cloves are widely used in baking.  Ideal for desserts, cakes, pies and puddings.  Also popular for pickling and barbeque spice mixes. Premium, ground ginger that will add strong flavour to any recipe.  Especially ideal for baking.  Coffee cakes, fruit breads, cookies and pies all use ground ginger as an active ingredient. No more need to zest those lemons!  Our lemon peel is the dehydrated zest of the lemon.  

Our dried lemon peel is 3x stronger than fresh lemon zest - therefore use 1/3 of what the recipe requires.  Example - If the recipe calls for 1 Tablespoon of fresh lemon zest, use only 1 teaspoon of our dried lemon peel.  

To rehydrate, soak in water for about 15 minutes.

Nutmeg comes from an evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia.  Nutmeg is a traditional spice for eggnog as well as mulled cider.  It is also very popular in baking and provides a distinct flavour to cakes, puddings and custards.  

We have both Ground Nutmeg and Whole Nutmeg available.
No more need to zest those oranges!  Our orange peel is the dehydrated zest of the orange.
