TruColor™ Natural Gel Paste Powders were specifically designed for buttercream icing. They can also be used in dough or any dry food product to colour without it breaking down. When hydrated the natural gel paste powders function as barrier, limiting the taste that may be associated with the natural colour plant source. Simply add water at a 1:1 ratio to "hydrate & decorate."
TruColor™ Natural Food Colours are made from fruits, vegetables, seeds, roots and minerals. These amazing colours are derived from nature and they are unprecedented in hue and brilliance. Colour powder may take several minutes to completely dissolve. Using less than the recommended amount of water will increase colour strength and intensity.
This colour comes in a dry powdered form for optimal shelf life. Never add water directly to any jar. Simply add "drops" of distilled water only to the amount of the dry natural colour you will use. Wet colours do not have any artificial preservatives and must be discarded if not used. Allow 15 to 20 minutes for the powder to completely dissolve and stabilize before adding to the product you wish to colour. Some ingredients may affect colour, like meringue powder, cream of tarter, lemon etc. Testing is recommended.
